2006 Race

The third annual rumble was again a great success, this time a bit more chill on the planning front. Entrants got tshirts, winners got cash prizes, and a quasi-team-boatercross event was added. the format of the main race was the same as in 2005: 4 sprints and 1 full course race, ALL MASS START. YEEEEEEEAH! Racers accrued points by place in each race: last place = 1 point, 2nd to last = 2pts, 3rd to last = 3 pts etc... the sprints were weighted x 1, the full course weighted x 3. you accrue the most points = you WIN.

TEAM BOATERX
this was the last run of the day, and on labyrinth we did a new event. we formed teams of 3. each team had one racer and two blockers. two teams would 'race'. that meant that you have 2 racers racing each other through the rapid, and they each have two people from the opposite team trying to slow them down and block where they want to go. CHAOS! it was excellent.
